molecular breeding approaches.
2. Molecular genetic analysis of resistance/ tolerance in rice, wheat, ICAR
chickpea and mustard including sheath blight complex genomics.
3. Development of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea) genotypes with Institute, CSSRI
improved salinity tolerance and higher seed yield.
4. Isolation, identification and evaluation of plant growth promoting Institute, CSSRI
bacteria for mitigating salinity stress in crops.

  • Participated via poster presentation in the 3rd International plant physiology conference held at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi from 11-14 December 2015.

  • Presented research paper entitled “Bioregulators mediated alterations in leaf anatomy and chloroplast ultrastructure under water deficit stress in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) in two days international conference ie. “World Congress On Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Aquaculture, Animal Sciences, Food Technology, Biodiversity and Climate Change: Sustainable Approaches (AFHAFBC-2014)” held at JNU, New Delhi from 6-7 December 2014.

  • Participated in the ICAR sponsored short course on “Non-destructive phenotyping and phenomics for dissection of abiotic stress tolerance, gene discovery and crop improvement held at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) during 14-23 July 2014.

  • Participated via poster presentation in the 100th session of Indian Science congress held at Kolkata from 3-7 January 2013 and work was published in the proceedings of the prestigious congress..

  • Attended and participated in “India Farm to Fork 2013”, international conference cum exhibition organized by PHD chamber of Commerce and Industry held on 29-30th November, 2013 at PHD house, New Delhi.

  • Selected to represent Kerala Agricultural University at the “first Indian science conclave: A congregation of Nobel Prize winners across the world” held at Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad from 15-21December 2008.

  • Undergone Foundation Course for Agricultural Research Service (FOCARS 101) at National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad from 1st January – 31st March 2015.

  • 3 months Professional Attachment training at School of Life Sciences (SLS), JNU on Expression analysis of SOS pathway genes in contrasting rice genotypes.
