  1. Major Areas of Research Contributions
    • Plasticulture application techniques in hill agriculture including development of polyhouses (pipe frame and bamboo frame), polythene lined water resource development and strategies for efficient utilization, design of gravity fed micro irrigation system (with new type of micro-tube configuration) for terraced cultivation, etc.
    • Strategies for development and multiple uses of water resources based waterlogged land in canal commands, topo-sequential harvested rainwater in plateau region / arid region of western India, groundwater abstraction, and in actively expanding ravines and affected areas.
    • Modelling and demonstration of water distribution in canal command areas and its multiple uses to enhance the overall productivity.

  2. Shankar Memorial Awards for 2003-04 of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers – for excellent contribution in the field of Soil and Water Engineering.

 

Also Obtained as Project Coordinator the ICAR Award “Chaudhary Devi Lal Outstanding AICRP Award 2012” for All India Coordinated Research Project on Application of Plastics in Agriculture (renamed as Plasticulture Engineering and Technology).
