The Central Soil Salinity Research Institute has three regional stations that assist the Central Institute with their specializations:

For research on problems of coastal salinity - Lacknow (Uttar Pradesh)
For undertaking research on reclamation and management of alkali soils of Central and Eastern Gangetic Plains - Bharuch (Gujarat)
For research on salinity problems of black soil region
